Muscle Building Whey Protein Blend
Whey protein has been shown to be able to rapidly deliver amino acids to muscles after exercise (1).
BPI Whey HD combines three protein forms to provide complete amino acid delivery to your muscles.
- whey protein concentrate
- whey protein isolate
- and milk protein isolate
Whey protein concentrate is dried, filtered liquid milk. It contains fat and carbohydrates in the form of lactose.
Whey protein isolate is a further purified form of whey concentrate which has removed the lactose.
Milk protein isolate is an even further purified form of protein, providing at least 90% total protein content and less than 3% fat. It also digests more slowly than other types of whey.
Each serving of BPI Whey HD gives you 25 grams of protein.
ProHydrolase
ProHydrolase is a proprietary enzyme formula that enhances the absorption and digestion of protein.
Because this is a proprietary formula we do not know the individual ingredients.
Who Takes it?
BPI Whey HD is taken by weight trainers who have the goal of increasing muscle size while reducing body fat.
How to Take it
Blend a 35 gram serving of BPI Whey HD with 250 mls of water or milk. Consume 30 minutes before before and directly after workout.
Side Effects
As the whey concentrate portion of the protein blend contains lactose, some people may experience bloating and gas.
Pros
- Digestive enzymes
- 3-way protein blend
- Mixes well
Cons
- Proprietary enzyme formula
Conclusion
BPI Whey HD provides you with a solid protein powder which mixes well and tastes great.
The addition of milk protein isolate gives a more sustained protein release.
However, the use of a proprietary digestive enzyme formula prevents us from analyzing it’s effectiveness.
