Vapor X5 Review

April 15, 2018 By Editor

Vapor X5 Review

Vapor X5 is a pre-workout supplement made by MuscleTech.

It’s designed to improve performance, energy, and pumps for better workouts.

MuscleTech is a supplement brand most famous for their award-winning creatine product, Cell-Tech.

Ingredients Label

Active Ingredients

Creatine Monohydrate

Creatine is an organic acid, found in animal products.

Research has convincingly shown that it can boost athletic performance, primarily in terms of power output (1).

The effective dose is 3-5g.

Betaine

Betaine is another naturally-occurring compound, which is found in sugar beets.

It may also increase power output, and lean body mass (2).

An effective dose is around 2.5g.

Beta Alanine

Beta alanine is a beta-amino acid which is used by the body to make carnosine.

Carnosine delays the effects of fatigue during exercise, allowing you to perform for longer (3).

The effective dose is about 2-5g.

Arginine

Arginine is a nitric oxide booster.

Nitric oxide can enhance vasodilation, a widening of the blood vessels which may improve energy and pumps.

The Nitrosigine® version in this formula appears to show promise for these effects (4).

Caffeine

Caffeine is a stimulant that increases alertness, energy, and athletic performance (5).

The effective dose depends on the individual, but is usually between 200-500mg.

Choline Bitartrate

Choline is brain-boosting compound, which increases cognition (6).

The bitartrate form is not very effective, however.

Theanine

Theanine is an amino acid that promotes relaxation and focus (7).

It can take the “edge” off caffeine.

Who Takes It?

Athletes wanting to improve their overall workouts may enjoy using Vapor X5.

How to Take

Mix 1-2 scoops with 250mL water, and consume 30 minutes before working out.

Side Effects

May upset the stomach if taken with insufficient food or water.

Beta alanine may trigger a harmless tingling sensation in the face and skin.

Creatine may cause a slight increase in water weight within the muscles.

Pros

  • Contains multiple performance-enhancing ingredients
  • Open label formula
  • Huge range of flavours available.

Cons

  • Doses in a single scoop are insufficient
  • Lacks pump and focus ingredients.

Conclusion

Vapor X5 is a pre workout that most likely needs to be double-scooped to have any significant benefits to the user due to low ingredient doses.

Taken this way, the formula should give decent improvements to performance and energy, but may lack in terms of focus and pumps.

Other downsides that come with taking 2-scoop servings is having less servings per tub, and the large dose of caffeine may be too much for many users.
