Ryse Up Pre-Workout Review

Ryse Up Pre-Workout by Ryse is designed to improve energy, performance, and pumps for better workouts.

Ryse is a relatively new supplement brand, headquartered in Texas, USA.

Ingredients Label

Active Ingredients

Citrulline Malate

Citrulline is an amino acid which increases levels of nitric oxide in the body.

This results in better vasodilation effects during exercise – a widening of the blood vessels which improves blood flow, pumps, and physical performance (1).

Arginine is also known to have a similar effect.

Beta Alanine

Beta alanine is a well-known compound for its fatigue-reducing effects.

It does this by counteracting the build-up of acid and free-radicals during exercise (2).

The effective dose is about 2-5g.

Betaine

Betaine, not to be confused with beta-alanine, is a compound found in sugar beets.

Research shows that it may improve power output, and possibly body composition too (3).

The effective dose is about 2.5g.

Tyrosine

Tyrosine is an amino acid that’s known to reduce stress hormone levels.

This is especially effective in stressed or fatigued people, for whom it can improve mental and athletic performance (4).

An effective dose is 500-2,000mg.

Taurine

Taurine is also an amino acid.

It can improve pumps and also reduce fatigue during exercise.

An effective dose is about a gram.

Caffeine

Caffeine is a stimulant that can boost your energy, alertness and athletic performance (5).

The effective dose depends on the individual, but is usually around 200-500mg.

Citicholine

Citicoline is a well-absorbed form of choline, a brain-boosting compound.

It’s been shown to improve cognition and attention in doses of around 250mg (6).

Huperzine-A

Huperzine-A is also a brain-boosting compound.

It’s been shown to improve mental energy and brain function (7)

The effective dose is 50-200mcg.

Who Takes It?

Athletes wanting to improve all aspects of their workouts may benefit from using Ryse Up Pre-Workout.

How to Take

Mix 1 scoop (16.4g) with 250mL water, and consume 30 minutes before your workout.

Side Effects

Beta alanine may trigger a harmless tingling sensation in the face and skin.

Pros

  • Effective forms of many ingredients
  • Open-label formula
  • Can improve all aspects of your workouts.

Cons

  • Doses could be a little higher for some ingredients
  • Only 20 servings per tub.

Conclusion

Ryse Up Pre-Workout is a formula that does it all for workout improvement.

It contains ingredients to boost energy, improve focus and performance, and enhance pumps.

Some, but not all of these ingredients are included in effective forms and doses.

Unfortunately there are only 20 servings in each tub, which may have you running back to the store more often than necessary!
