SuperHD Xtreme is a fat-burner supplement made by Cellucor.
Although it shares a similar name to Cellucor’s original SuperHD product, SuperHD Xtreme is an entirely new formula designed to improve energy, mood, and fat-loss.
Cellucor are an American supplement company best-known for their pre-workout product, C4.
Caffeine is a stimulant which can boost energy, alertness, and fat-loss (1).
SuperHD Xtreme contains both regular caffeine and a slow-releasing form called “XCELICOR™”.
An effective dose for fat-burning is about 200mg.
Tetramethyluric acid is also a stimulant, which is closely related to caffeine.
It has similar effects, but is quicker-releasing. The body also does not build a tolerance to it as quickly as it does with caffeine.
Capsicum contains a compound called capsaicin.
Zembrin is a trademarked extract of the Sceletium Tortuosum plant, which has been shown by research to reduce anxiety in stressful situations (4).
This may help to reduce stress and improve mood while dieting, and may take the edge off caffeine.
This bark extract is closely related to yohimbine, a potent fat-burner.
It lacks research, but since it has similar structure to yohimbine, it’s also likely to possess the same fat-burning properties.
Rauwolscine would be most effective when taken in a fasted state.
Who Takes It?
Athletes wanting to improve their energy, focus, and fat-loss while dieting may enjoy using SuperHD Xtreme.
How to Take
Take 1 capsule with 250-350mL of water in the morning, and 1 capsule with 250-350mL of water 5-6 hours later, in the mid-afternoon.
High doses of caffeine may trigger rapid or irregular heartbeat, and/or anxiety.
Rauwolscine is a little-researched compound, which may induce anxiety and/or high blood pressure.
- Effective dose of caffeine
- May improve mood.
- Proprietary blend
- Some of the ingredients are not well-researched
- May not be much better than the original SuperHD formula.
The SuperHD Xtreme name sounds like a hard-core fat burner, and a strong improvement over the original SuperHD formula, but this may not be the case.
The original formula had many more ingredients to cater to other aspects of dieting such as reducing fatigue and improving focus.
The key difference, it appears, is that the Xtreme formula has a much higher dose of caffeine and other stimulants, but this is hard to confirm with its hidden ingredient doses.
