Active Ingredients

Creatine

Creatine is a naturally occurring organic acid, which has been proven to increase strength and power output (1).

Although there are many forms, studies have shown that there is not much difference in effectiveness between them.

Creatine Monohydrate is by far the cheapest and most cost-effective, with an effective dose of about 5g.

Waxy Maize

Waxy Maize is a carbohydrate source that is included to spike insulin, which helps with the absorption of creatine.

Arginine and Citrulline

Both Arginine and Citrulline produce Nitric Oxide, which dilates blood vessels (2, 3).

This results in an enhanced “pump” feeling during your workouts.

Effective doses of each are about 6g.

Cinammon and Atlantic Kelp

Cinammon and Atlantic Kelp both increase insulin sensitivity, and can significantly lower blood sugar levels (4, 5).

This can be beneficial for fat loss, lean muscle gain, and in this case shuttling Creatine to the muscles.

BCAAs

BCAAs are amino acids that are specific to muscle growth and repair.

These can decrease stress-hormone levels after working out, and quickly replace BCAA levels in the body for faster recovery (6).

Alpha GPC

Alpha GPC a source of Choline, a vitamin that supports brain function.

It’s intended to boost cognition and focus, but this type of Choline is actually better for actual physical performance – studies have shown it can increase power output by 14% (7).

An effective dose is 600mg.

GABA

GABA is an amino acid that has demonstrated improvements in mood and focus, via calming effects.

Mucuna Pruriens

Mucuna Pruriens is a type of bean, that is high in L-Dopa.

It has been shown to boost dopamine levels in infertile men (8).

It’s unknown if it is also effective in healthy subjects, but a standard dose is around 5g of dried product.

Who Takes It?

Athletes wishing to improve their strength and the quality of their workouts may benefit from JetMASS.

How to Take

Mix 1 scoop with 250-500mL water and consume before your workout.

Side Effects

Creatine increases muscle water retention, and you may gain some water weight.

Supplementing too much Creatine at once, or without enough water can cause an upset stomach.

Pros

  • Synergistic mixture of Creatine and insulin-spiking ingredients used to improve Creatine uptake
  • Extra ingredients included for further improving workouts.

Cons

  • The multiple forms of Creatine are most likely unnecessary and not cost-effective
  • Proprietary blends mean we don’t know if the ingredient doses are effective or not.

Conclusion

GAT JetMASS looks like a great creatine formula that includes plenty of extras to increase workout performance.

Unfortunately, many of the ingredients are either under-dosed or don’t have their exact doses specified, and may not be present in large enough amounts.

Go for something else with straight up creatine monohydrate.
