Core ABC Review

Core ABC Review

Core ABC is an amino acid supplement made by Core Nutritionals.

It’s an intra-workout formula, designed to improve performance and recovery, as well as reduce muscle breakdown.

Core Nutritionals is an American supplement company founded by drug-free Bodybuilder, Doug Miller.

Ingredients Label

Active Ingredients

BCAAs

Branched chain amino acids, or BCAAs, are the amino acids which are most important for muscle growth and recovery.

They prevent muscle breakdown during exercise, and can significantly improve recovery time (1).

Glutamine

Glutamine is also a type of amino acid which is linked to muscle development.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to provide any extra benefits when its combined with BCAAs (2, 3).

Beta Alanine

Beta alanine is a beta amino acid which reduces fatigue.

It does this by helping the body to make carnosine, a compound which counteracts the build-up of harmful by-products from exercise (4).

An effective dose is 2-5g.

Citrulline Malate

Citrulline is yet another amino acid.

It’s known for improving nitric oxide levels, which can improve pumps, endurance, and blood-flow through a widening of blood vessels called vasodilation (5).

The malate form has also been shown to reduce muscle soreness (6).

An effective dose is about 6-8g.

Who Takes It?

Athletes wanting to reduce muscle breakdown, as well as improve recovery and performance will benefit from using Core ABC.

How to Take

Mix 2 scoops (20g) with 500-1000mL water, and sip before/during your workout.

Side Effects

Beta alanine may trigger a harmless tingling sensation in the face and skin.

Pros

  • Huge dose of BCAAs in each serving
  • Includes effective doses of performance and recovery-boosting ingredients
  • Absolutely massive range of flavours available!

Cons

  • The glutamine may not offer much extra benefit that BCAAs already provides.

Conclusion

Core ABC is an excellent amino acid supplement, with a stellar formula.

It includes a whopping 10g of BCAAs per serving – about double of what many other amino acid products provide.

In addition to this, it also contains doses of beta alanine and citrulline malate. These performance and recovery-boosting ingredients can improve your workout quality, and work well with the BCAA content to speed up your recovery.

It’s available in a huge selection of over 10 flavours, so you’ll never get tired of it!
