Proto Whey is a protein powder made by Power Crunch.

It’s a quick-releasing formula, great for consumption around workout time.

Power Crunch is a protein-focused company, which was founded in 1985 in the USA.

Whey Protein Hydrolysate

Whey protein has been shown by mountains of research to be super-effective for increasing rates of muscle growth and repair (1).

Hydrolysate is a refined form of whey which has been broken down into much smaller, more rapidly-absorbed segments called peptides.

Maltodextrin

Maltodextrin is a quick-releasing carbohydrate, which can be used to spike insulin and improve the body’s anabolic response to protein consumption.

Although it’s used inappropriately in many mass gainers, it is used correctly in this formula.

MCTs

Medium-chain triglycerides, or MCTs, are a type of fat found in coconut oil.

Funnily enough, these fat molecules have been shown to actually improve the burning of body fat, as well as blunting hunger (2).

Athletes wanting a high-quality, easy-to-digest protein powder for pre- and post-workout consumption will enjoy using Proto Whey.

How to Take

Mix 2 scoops (37g) with 250mL water or milk, and consume around workout time, or as desired.

Excess protein consumption could worsen an existing liver or kidney condition.

It also contains a healthy amount of maltodextrin for improving anabolic response, as well as high-quality fats from coconut oil.
