MTS Nutrition Ruckus Review

February 28, 2018 By Editor

MTS Nutrition Ruckus Review

Ruckus is a pre-workout supplement made by MTS Nutrition.

It’s a high-stimulant formula, designed to boost energy levels for more effective workouts.

MTS Nutrition was founded in the United States, in 2011.

Ingredients Label

Active Ingredients

Tyrosine

Tyrosine is an amino acid which reduces stress hormone production.

Studies show that supplementing with tyrosine can improve performance under stressed or fatigued conditions (1).

The effective dose is between 500 and 2,000mg.

Betaine Nitrate

Betaine is a naturally occurring compound that is known to increase power output (2).

The nitrate form also provides a nitric oxide boosting element, which may improve pumps and endurance (3).

The effective dose is 2.5g.

Taurine

Taurine is another amino acid, which is a popular addition to energy drinks.

It can reduce fatigue during exercise, and increase the uptake of nutrients into muscle cells (4).

Caffeine

Ruckus contains three main forms of caffeine: caffeine anhydrous, dicaffeine malate, and “VitaSure®” Caffeine SR.

Caffeine anhydrous is regular caffeine, while dicaffeine malate and VitaSure® are slow-releasing forms, designed to kick in later into your workout.

Caffeine boosts energy, alertness, and even athletic performance at higher doses (5).

The effective dose ranges between 200 and 500mg.

Ancient Peat and Apple Extract

In a similar way to creatine, ancient peat and apple extract have been shown to improve the production of cellular energy.

Studies show that this is accompanied by increases in strength and power output (6).

Theobromine

Theobromine is a compound found in cocoa.

Studies show that it can improve mood and mental performance (7).

N-Methyltyramine HCl

N-methyltyramine HCl is a stimulant that slightly increases the release of noradrenaline (8).

Hordenine

Hordenine can act as a mood-enhancer and fat-burner.

Perhaps its most valuable benefit here is to amplify and extend the effects of the other stimulants (9).

The commonly used dose is around 30-50mg.

Who Takes It?

Stimulant-tolerant athletes who want a massive energy boost for their workouts will enjoy using Ruckus.

How to Take

Mix 1 scoop (7.6g) with 300mL water, and consume 30 minutes before your workout.

Side Effects

The stimulants in Ruckus could trigger anxiety or rapid/irregular heartbeat, especially if the recommended dosage is exceeded.

Hordenine should not be combined with medication or drugs, especially those for depression and anxiety.

Pros

  • High-stimulant formula
  • Long-lasting energy.

Cons

  • May be too strong for some users
  • Not many pump and performance ingredients.

Conclusion

MTS Nutrition Ruckus is a very high-stimulant pre-workout, which you can guarantee to boost your energy levels for workouts.

Aside from the energy-boosting component, however, there is not much to this formula, except for a couple of ingredients that boost power output and pumps.

For maximum results, consider combining Ruckus with a scoop of a stimulant-free pre-workout formula.
