FitMiss Ignite Review

October 19, 2018 By Editor

FitMiss Ignite Review

Ignite is a pre-workout supplement made by FitMiss.

It’s designed and dosed specifically for women, for improving energy and workout quality.

FitMiss is a female-focused subsidiary of MusclePharm, a popular American supplement company.

Ingredients Label

Active Ingredients

Beta Alanine

Beta alanine is a popular endurance-booster.

It’s been shown to delay the effects of fatigue, by counteracting the build-up of acid and free-radicals (1).

The effective dose is 2-5g.

Tyrosine

Tyrosine is an amino acid, which combats the effects of stress.

It replenishes levels of neurotransmitters which are used to deal with stress, and can improve performance under stressful conditions (2).

An effective dose is 500-2,000mg.

L-Carnitine

L-carnitine is an amino acid which is involved in the use of fat as energy.

It’s been shown to increase fat-burning in the elderly and those who are deficient, but it may not be effective in regular healthy people.

It may, however, increase energy and insulin sensitivity (3).

A standard dose is 500-2,000mg.

Hawthorn Berry

Hawthorn berries have strong antioxidant properties, and are great for circulatory health.

They’ve also been shown to potentially have “fat-blocking” effects (4).

Beetroot

Beetroot contains high levels of nitrates, which are used by the body to make nitric oxide.

Increasing nitric oxide with nitrates has been shown to improve endurance and pumps through a widening of the blood vessels, called vasodilation (5).

Agmatine

Agmatine is another compound which increases nitric oxide levels.

Like nitrates, it can improve pumps and endurance (6).

It may also improve mood and reduce stress.

Caffeine

Caffeine is a stimulant that can significantly increase energy levels and physical performance (7).

An effective dose varies with the individual.

Huperzine-A

Huperzine-A is a compound which can improve mental performance, by reducing the breakdown of a transmitter called acetylcholine (8).

The effective dose is 50-200mcg.

Who Takes It?

Female athletes wanting a pre-workout supplement tailored to their needs may enjoy using FitMiss Ignite.

How to Take

Mix 1 scoop (7.2g) with 415mL water, and consume 30 minutes before your workout.

Side Effects

Beta alanine may cause a harmless tingling sensation in the face and skin.

Pros

  • Improves energy, endurance, and focus
  • Potential fat-burning effects.

Cons

  • Ingredient doses hidden in proprietary blend
  • Not very different from regular unisex pre-workouts.

Conclusion

FitMiss Ignite is a pre-workout supplement which they say is designed specifically for women, however we’re not quite sure what that means.

It appears to have the same ingredients as you would usually find in any other pre-workout, as well as a couple fat-burning ingredients.

Although the ingredient profile looks great, the doses are hidden in a blend, which means we’re not sure which ingredients have been dosed effectively.

Ignite could very well be a good pre-workout for women, but we don’t think it has anything special in it that makes it more female-appropriate than most other formulas out there.
