Elemental BCAA+G Review

Elemental BCAA+G is an intra-workout supplement made by Elemental Nutrition.

It’s designed to prevent muscle breakdown and improve growth and repair.

Elemental Nutrition is an Australian-owned supplement brand that was founded in 2003.

Active Ingredients

BCAAs

Leucine, isoleucine, and valine are three essential amino acids that are also known as BCAAs.

They’re amino acids that the body can’t make, and are most important for muscle growth and development.

Using BCAAs can reduce cortisol production caused by intense exercise, and improve your recovery time (1).

Glutamine

Glutamine is also a type of amino acid, which for a while has been believed to improve muscle growth.

Alongside BCAAs, however, it hasn’t shown any additional benefits (2, 3).

Who Takes It?

Athletes who want to go to extra lengths to preserve muscle mass while training, as well as improve growth and repair will benefit from Elemental BCAA+G.

How to Take

Mix 1 heaped scoop (12.9g) with 250mL water or milk, and consume during your workout.

Side Effects

There are no serious side effects currently known for the ingredients in Elemental BCAA+G.

Pros

  • Fast-absorbing source of amino acids
  • Flavouring options to improve the taste.

Cons

  • BCAAs might not be necessary if you already consume enough protein
  • Glutamine may not provide any extra benefit.

Conclusion

Elemental BCAA+G is a simple supplement that provides essential amino acids for muscle building, along with a possible muscle-recovery aid in glutamine.

Both the key ingredients may be unnecessary for muscle growth and repair if your diet contains enough protein, but users have reported great improvements in their recovery times.

Ultimately, if you want to maximise gains it can’t hurt to include an intra-workout supplement to your routine.
