Max’s Super Shred is a fat burner created for serious weight trainers who have developed quality muscle mass and are working to strip off body fat.

Max’s is produced and marketed by AminoActive, a wholly Australian based company.

Ingredient Label

Active Ingredients

Whey Protein Isolate (WPI)

WPI is the most bioavailable form of protein, which allows it to get into the muscle cell faster.

It contains a plentiful supply of BCAAs to boost workout recovery.

Whey Protein Concentrate (WPC)

WPC contains a number of muscle building peptides designed to enhance post exercise muscle repair.

It also contains some lactose and fat, which provide flavor.

Calcium Caseinate Protein

Calcium Caseinate is a slow release protein that keeps a constant flow of amino acids going into the muscle cell. It also has an appetite suppressant effect.

Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA)

CLA has been shown to aid in protein digestibility, while boosting fat burn by bumping up your metabolic rate (1).

Green Tea Extract

The thermogenic effect of compounds contained in Green Tea Extract, such as EGCG, increase the metabolism and help to induce fat loss (2).

Guarana

Guarana is a natural metabolic booster due to its high caffeine content.

Acetyl L-Carnitine

L-Carnitine is utilized by the body to metabolize energy. It also boosts insulin release, which helps to burn body fat (3).

Who Takes It?

Max’s Super Shred is taken by hard training bodybuilders who have built a decent amount of muscle and are wanting to get shredded.

How to Take

Add 30 grams of Super Shred to a shaker bottle containing 200 ml of water or low fat milk. Shake the blender for 30 seconds then drink it down.

Take 2 servings per day. It can be taken either between meals or as a meal replacement.

Side Effects

There are no side effects associated with Super Shred.

Pros

  • 22 grams of protein per serving
  • Low carb
  • Adds muscle and burns fat

Cons

  • Only two flavours
  • Blend formula does not reveal dose of all ingredients.

Conclusion

Max’s Super Shred is a very popular fat-burning protein powder.

It contains a lot of potent ingredients, tastes great and offers good value for money.

Unfortunately the exact dose of fat-burning ingredients are not listed, but Max’s products typically have a solid reputation.

Additionally, without the correct training program and daily calorie intake for your specific needs, this may not be as useful for shredding as some of the calorie-free fat burners available.
