Active Ingredients

Green Tea

Green Tea is well-known for its fat-burning effects, and its extract is a common ingredient in weight-loss supplements.

Research has shown that Green Tea Extract can boost fat oxidation by 17% (1).

It may also improve insulin sensitivity which can be great for supporting lean mass.

The effective dose is 400-500mg.

Bitter Orange

Bitter Orange is a hybrid citrus fruit.

The key compound in it is Synephrine, which can be used to suppress appetite and improve weight loss.

Studies have demonstrated increases in calorie burning via metabolic rate with Bitter Orange supplementation. This was maximised with 6-12 weeks of using the extract (2).

Caffeine and Guarana

Caffeine is a stimulant that increases metabolic rate (3). It can also improve power output and athletic performance at higher doses (4).

Guarana is another source of caffeine, and also has antioxidant properties.

The effective dose for caffeine is about 200-500mg. This can vary between individuals.

L-Tyrosine

L-Tyrosine is an amino acid that reduces stress hormone production.

Research has shown it can improve mood and cognition under stressful conditions (5), making it helpful to take in a hungry or tired state.

An effective dose is 500-2,000mg.

L-Carnitine

L-Carnitine is a compound used in energy metabolism.

It may only be effective for fat-loss in people who are deficient.

In people without a deficiency, it can still increase insulin sensitivity and lower blood glucose levels, which is great for supporting a lean body composition (6).

A standard dose is 500-2,000mg.

Capsicum

Capsicum contains pigment compounds that have been shown to limit the metabolism of other substances (7).

This could improve the effects of other ingredients in the formula by enhancing absorption.

Who Takes It?

Those wishing to boost their energy levels, mood, and fat-loss while dieting would benefit from using Excalibur.

How to Take

Consume 1-2 capsules in the morning 1 hour before food, daily for six days. Break for one day and repeat.

If the capsules are difficult to swallow, they can be consumed by opening the capsule and pouring the contents into a small glass of water.

Side Effects

Capsicum Extract can interfere with other pharmaceuticals. Do not take Excalibur alongside any other medication.

Pros

  • Effective doses of almost all ingredients are used
  • Mood support is added in the form of L-Tyrosine
  • Wicked bottle.

Cons

  • The amount of L-Carnitine is much too low to be effective.

Conclusion

Excalibur is a decent fat-burner with a nice variety of ingredients at good doses, with the exception of L-Carnitine.

It should be effective for boosting fat loss and improving energy levels throughout the day while dieting.

The L-Tyrosine is also a nice touch to improve mood and reduce stress.
