BPM Lab’s LipoRush Review

July 10, 2016 By Editor

BPM labs liporush supplements review

LipoRush is a thermogenic fat burning supplement.

It’s made by Australian supplement company BPM Labs and is revamped version of BPM’s popular fat burner Lipodrive.

A key difference between LipoRush and LipoDrive is the removal of Phenylethylamine (PEA).

A number of derivatives of PEA have recently been banned in Australia and it’s suspected PEA itself will become a banned substance in the near future.

Active Ingredients

The ingredients that make up LipoRush are combined as a 7 gram proprietary blend.

We are not told the dosage of each ingredient. This makes it impossible to know if you are getting enough of each ingredient to produce results.

Each serving is 7 grams. There are 50 servings in each 350-gram container.

The main ingredients are:

Taurine

Taurine helps muscle cells to hold more water, thus increasing muscular size.

It is also known to increase muscle cell contractility, allowing the muscle, including the heart, to perform more efficiently.

It also helps the body to get rid of lactic acid, which leads to post exercise soreness. Once it gets into our cells, taurine excites them, boosting their performance and enhancing nerve activity (1).

Green Tea Leaf Extract

Green tea leaf extract contains a catechin called epigallocatechin (EGCC).

EGCC catechins are antioxidants that are believed to encourage the body to burn fat for energy and promote fat oxidation (1, 2).

Nandina Domestic Extract

Higenamine is a chemical compound found in Nandina Domestic Extract that is being used as a fat burner. However, there are currently no scientific studies to back up its effectiveness.

Caffeine Anhydrous

This concentrated form of caffeine has been shown to increase thermogenesis, enhance lipid oxidation and improve training focus (4).

Caffeine achieves these effects without burning up muscle protein or glycogen levels (5).

Cacao Plant Extract

Cacao contains both caffeine and theobromine, which acts as thermogenic agents (6).

It also contains flavonoids which influence cholesterol levels in the body (7).

Bitter Orange Peel Extract

Bitter Orange is used in many supplements as a substitute for the banned ephedra.

It is claimed to be a powerful thermogenic booster and central nervous system stimulant. However, there are no conclusive studies to back this up. There have been concerns that bitter orange can increase blood pressure and cause nausea and fainting.

How Does LipoRush Taste?

LipoRush is available in the following flavours:

  • Strawberry
  • Banana
  • Peach Mango

It mixes well with water, with no residue or clumpiness. The drink is a little bitter, but has a pleasant cordial-like taste.

When Should I Take It?

Take LipoRush 15 minutes before your workout begins.

When you first take the product, try with half a scoop in order to gauge your tolerance level. From there, BPM suggests taking one scoop on an empty stomach, mixed with water. However, user experience suggests that taking the product with a light meal, such as a banana, will prevent side effects.

You should not take LipoRush within seven hours of going to sleep.

Are There Any Side Effects With BPM LipoRush?

Online reviews show a number of side effects that have been reported.

These include stomach cramps, a prolonged feeling of jitteriness, nausea and insomnia. Taking the product on an empty stomach seems to make these effects worse.

Bitter orange has a potential link to such side effects as tachycardia, high blood pressure and dizziness.

Pros

  • Metabolism booster
  • Energy and mood enhancer
  • Provides mental focus
  • Long lasting energy

Cons

  • Jittery feeling reported by some users
  • Bitter orange may have cardiovascular side effects

Summary

BPM Lab’s LipoRush is a solid formula.

It has a thermogenic effect that speeds up your metabolism, and also provides a solid energy boost.

Just note that it contains several powerful stimulants too. For this reason, we advise against taking more than the stated dose of one scoop per serve.
