Animal Cuts a fat burner made by Universal Nutrition.

They’ve been creating hardcore training supplements since 1977.

Active Ingredients

Animal Cuts is made up of 8 active formulas, which contain more than 40 individual ingredients.

The key ingredients are listed below.

Caffeine Anhydrous

Caffeine anhydrous is the dried out form of caffeine.

It speeds up your metabolism and boosts energy levels (1). It also enhances your mental alertness (2).

Guarana

The guarana plant has the highest caffeine concentration of any known plant.

It works with caffeine anhydrous to boost metabolism, burning more calories throughout the day.

Raspberry Ketones

Extracted from red raspberries, raspberry ketones are claimed to increase lipolysis, or fat break-down.

There are no studies, however, to support this.

Green Tea Extract

Green tea extract is said to have a cleansing effect on the body, helping to get rid of toxins and increase energy levels.

It also has a thermogenic effect (3).

L-Tyrosine

L-Tyrosine is an amino acid which increases the fat burning effects of caffeine.

It also acts as an appetite suppressant and mood enhancer (4).

DMAE

DMAE is a compound said to reduce buildup of what’s known as the ‘age pigment’.

It may also help protect the cells from oxidative damage.

Who Takes It?

Animal Cuts is designed for men who train with weights in order to build and define a lean, muscular physique.

How to Take It

Animal Cuts consists of packs of capsules.

Each dosage is a 9 capsule pack. You take one pack in the morning with water and another in the mid-afternoon, for a total of 18 capsules per day.

Side Effects

Animal Cuts contains all natural products that will not produce any specific side effects.

However, this product contains a lot of stimulants, which may cause some people to crash their energy levels about an hour into their workout.

Pros:

  • 40 + ingredients
  • Stimulatory effect
  • Boosts metabolism.

Cons:

  • Proprietary blend; doesn’t reveal dosages
  • May lead to energy crashes
  • 18 capsules per day is a bit much.

Conclusion

With 8 different formulas, Animal Cuts allows you to attack the fat from a range of angles.

If you’re training hard and following a clean diet, it’ll give you that extra boost you need to reach your goals.

But just how effective each ingredient would be is hard to say because there are no specific doses on the label.

Additionally the amount of capsules you have to take each day seems excessive.
