Evogen AminoJect Review

AminoJect is an intra-workout supplement made by Evogen.

It’s designed for use during your workout, to improve performance and prevent muscle breakdown.

Evogen is an American supplement company, founded by the world-class trainer Hany Rambod.

Ingredients Label

Active Ingredients

BCAAs

BCAA (branched-chain amino acid) is the group term for the amino acids leucine, valine, and isoleucine.

These amino acids are the most specific ones to muscle growth and repair.

BCAAs have been shown to reduce the production of cortisol, a “muscle-wasting” hormone. They can also minimise recovery time (1).

They are all fermented in this formula, which improves their absorption.

Glutamine

Glutamine is an amino acid that’s believed to boost muscle growth.

Research shows that it might not be necessary when BCAAs are already being taken (2, 3).

Citrulline Malate

Citrulline malate is a compound that boosts nitric-oxide levels.

Nitric oxide expands the blood vessels, which can improve blood flow and the “pump” (4).

It also reduces muscle soreness, and may improve recovery time.

An effective dose is 6-8g.

Betaine

Betaine is a compound found in beetroot.

It’s been shown by research to improve power output, and may also increase muscle mass (5).

The effective dose is 2.5g.

Electrolytes

Electrolytes are important minerals, which are often lost via sweat during intense exercise.

Supplementing with electrolytes can reduce the negative effects from this kind of dehydration (6).

Black Pepper Extract

Black pepper contains a compound called piperine.

Piperine is a “bioavailability enhancer” – it increases the absorption of other ingredients (7).

This may improve the delivery and power of the other ingredients in AminoJect.

Who Takes It?

Athtletes wanting a supplement to preserve muscle mass and improve the quality of their workouts will enjoy AminoJect.

How to Take

Mix 1 scoop (15.73g) with 250-500mL water, and sip during your workout.

Side Effects

There are no major side effects associated with the ingredients used in AminoJect.

Pros

  • Performance-boosting ingredients included
  • High-absorption fermented forms of BCAAs used, as well as black pepper extract
  • Multiple flavour options.

Cons

  • Glutamine may not be necessary with BCAAs

Conclusion

This is a BCAA formula that goes above and beyond many other options in the intra-workout section.

It includes extra performance-boosting ingredients such as citrulline malate, betaine, and electrolytes.

Evogen also went the extra mile by opting for increased absorption from black pepper extract, and the fermented forms of BCAAs.

AminoJect will improve your workout quality, preserve your hard-earned muscle, and shorten your recovery time.
